With the Olympics in Paris a little over a month away, track and field is one of the sports where numerous former Florida Gators should be well represented.

And last night at the Team USA Olympic Trials for track and field, two more former Gators punched their ticket to Paris.

Florida Gators: Go For Gold

The heptathlon is often considered the ultimate test of who is the best all around athlete in the world. The two day competition consists of seven events (100 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 meter dash, long jump, javelin throw, 800 meter run).

It's with that in mind that Anna Hall can lay claim to being the best athlete in America after winning the heptathlon with a score of 6614 points. It's not her personal best, which is 6988 points, but considering she had knee surgery less than a year ago she won't mind.

Hall sealed her berth to Paris with a time of 2:04.39 in the 800 meter run. Hall came to Florida in 2022 after transferring from Georgia. She won the 2022 national title in both the pentathlon and heptathlon.

This will be Hall's first Olympics.

Malcolm Clemons is coming off a third-place finish in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, and now he's off to Paris.

Heading into his final jump of the competition, Clemson was in 6th place with a best of 26 feet and 5 inches. He saved his best for last and he is an Olympian because of it. Clemson went 26 feet and 10 inches on his final jump to claim second place and a spot on Team USA.

Previously at the Olympic Trials, former Gator Jasmine Moore claimed her spot to Paris in the triple jump. Her mark of 46 feet and 9 inches on her final leap won the meet.

Moore was the 2023 NCAA national champion in the event.
