July:

Napier has continued to advocate being process-oriented, and he made that case again at SEC Media Day.

We made the point that just because you have a process doesn't mean it is a good one.

"The hamster on the wheel is consumed with their process too, that doesn't mean their process is getting them anywhere.

Napier is correct that Florida has been much closer to turning the ship around than they have gotten credit for. Part of why they have fallen short has been due to self-inflicted wounds that shouldn't have happened for a team that claims to be process oriented.

While Napier may be "consumed with the process, not the outcome, to some degree," he needs to also be consumed with outcomes in 2024 in order for the Gators to emerge on schedule."

August:

Most people looked at the over/under from Vegas and thought it was free money.

Well...

"We all thought the over/under for the Gators was laughably low last year when it was set at 5.5 wins. This year, some odds are as low as 4.5 wins. There is no way Florida will only win four games in 2024, right?

Right?

There is a reason why Vegas always wins."
