Joe Hamilton's return a big boost for the Florida Football and Billy Napier's staff
This offseason has been a never-ending cycle of ups and downs for Florida Football. The Gators have seemingly had a string of good headlines, followed by bad, followed by good, followed by bad.
Monday, one of their previous bad headlines flipped back into a good one as a member of Billy Napier's staff who had left back in February is back in Gainesville and back on the staff for the Gators.

Joe Hamilton had been the Assistant Director of Player Personnel/NFL Liaison for the Gators and had initially come to Florida with Napier from Louisiana. While his role is behind the scenes, and most fans probably are not too familiar with Hamilton, there is no mistaking his impact on Napier's staff.
Multiple players, including DJ Lagway, credit Hamilton as being a big part of their recruiting process. While Napier and crew have struggled to close on some notable prospects, one area he has excelled at is overall talent identification and getting on board with guys who may not be highly rated initially but wind up as high four-stars when everything shakes out. As director of scouting, Hamilton plays a massive role in finding guys like KD Daniels or Tre Wilson before they shoot up the rankings boards.
Hamilton left Florida for Texas A&M in February, and the belief at the time was that he wanted to be closer to home, among other reasons. The Aggies had lured multiple Gator coaches and players to College Station in the offseason to be a part of the Mike Elko regime.
It has been reported by both GatorsOnline and Swamp247 that Hamilton is back in Gainesville and is already back in the building with the Gators.
