Of those kept, Brenton Cox and Marco Wilson are two of the bigger surprises. Cox was kicked off of Florida by Billy Napier in 2022 and went on to be undrafted in 2023. He was signed to Green Bay and did make it onto the field for a couple of games. The potential was always there for Cox, he just had to put it all together.

Wilson meanwhile, well, you know, but wound up settling with Arizona for three seasons before he was released in the middle of last year. New England picked him up and as of now is sticking around on their roster.

Of those cut, Kingsley Eguakun might be the most notable even though he was undrafted. He signed a three year contract worth $2.8 million but couldn't crack the main roster. If he clears waivers, one would assume he will be brought back on the practice squad.

The NFL season kicks off September 5 when Kansas City will host Baltimore.
