Right Guard

  • Starter for 2023 - Micah Mazzccua
  • Potential for 2024 - Damieon George

With Mazzccua gone, Florida will have to make at least one change to its line. It is no secret that Damieon George struggled mightily at right tackle this season. While George only gave up four sacks, the 29 QB pressures he gave up were 30th most in the country among offensive tackles.

But the belief is that George isn't meant to be a tackle and in reality he is better suited to play guard. For comparison but George and Barber are listed at 6'6" but George was listed at 350 pounds while Barber was 300 pounds.

And as we saw all season, George just didn't have the mobility to deal with a speed rush, something he wouldn't face as much if he was inside at guard.
