Devon Manuel

- OT Arkansas

Again, we cold make the case a couple of the previously mentioned players are "better" than Manuel, but given the state of Florida's offensive line the value of adding Manuel is high.

He played 417 snaps with Arkansas in 2023 and one would have to believe will have an inside track for a starting role with the Gators in 2024.

As mentioned before, Barber will probably stick along the line while George will either be moved to guard or rotated out all together.

#2 Joey Slackman
- DL Penn

Considered by On3 as the highest graded player the Gators grabbed out of the portal, Slackman will come to Gainesville with the highest ceiling of anyone coming to town.

The Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year has all the intangibles needed to come right into the SEC and be an effective force along the line.

What of course remains to be seen is whether or not has can covert his dominance in the Ivy League to effectiveness in the SEC.

#1 Asa Turner
- S Washington

Turner fell into Florida's lap late in the transfer portal cycle, taking advantage of Washington players being allowed to enter the portal once Kalen DeBoer left for Alabama.

Turner fought through injuries in 2023 to still have an effective season for the national runner ups.

He comes to Gainesville with five seasons of experience with Washington and previously played under Florida's defensive backs coach Will Harris.

Taking advantage of the bonus Covid season, Turner should slot in right next to Castell and hopefully will bring stability to the safety slot in 2024.
