Florida Gators wide receiver Brian Green Jr. was arrested Monday on a first-degree misdemeanor battery charge involving dating violence. Green joined the program as a preferred walk-on in 2023 but did not play last season.

According to the report posted on the Alachua County Clerk of the Court website, Green and his girlfriend engaged in an argument that escalated physically while in a parking garage.

The victim claimed Green grabbed her, while the receiver admitted to poking her in the face multiple times when questioned by the arresting officer after being read his rights. Surveillance footage from the garage confirmed the victim's account of Green poking her face repeatedly.

Following the arrest, Green was booked in the Alachua County Jail before being released on his own recognizance with a standing no-contact order issued toward the victim as part of the terms.

While Green did not play last season, he was recognized by the coaching staff for his work during the spring and he did make an appearance in the spring game, catching one pass for 11 yards.
