The Florida Gators have cultivated a rich tradition of sending talented players to the professional ranks via the NFL Draft. As the 2024 edition approaches, a pair of standouts from Billy Napier's squad are aiming to hear their names called and continue that legacy.

Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall has emerged as one of the fastest risers in the draft. According to evaluators at NFL.com, the playmaking wideout could come off the board as early as the second round when draft night rolls around on April 25th.

While Pearsall is most known for his Superman catch he made during the 2023 season, his overall route-running ability combined with the 4.41-second 40-yard dash he ran at the NFL Combine have NFL teams excited for his potential.

While Pearsall will likely be the headliner for Florida, he may not be the only Gator to get the call. Center Kingsley Eguakun has also worked his way into late-round projection territory as a potential draft pick.

While injuries derailed his 2023 campaign, he was the anchor of the Gators' offensive line when healthy and brings a projectable frame and functional strength that would do well in the NFL.

Both Pearsall and Eguakun will be looking to add to Florida's extensive NFL Draft pedigree that has seen numerous standouts selected over the decades.

The first round kicks off the festivities on Thursday, April 25th at 8pm ET. Rounds 2 and 3 follow on Friday the 26th beginning at 7pm, while Rounds 4 through 7 will be conducted starting at noon on Saturday the 27th.
