Florida Football welcomed a wide range of players to Gainesville over the weekend, but perhaps the biggest surprise for Florida was the appearance of four star linebacker Tarvos Alford.

And as Alford is getting closer to making a commitment, what does the film show for this Port Saint Louise native?

Florida Football: Stay out of his way

Alford is listed at 6'2" and 215 pounds. Playing for Vero Beach High in 2023, Alford is a top 50 overall prospect by On3 and 247, with ESPN ranking him in their top 60. Rivals isn't feeling the love and have him ranked 218th.

Based on his film, it is easy to see why services are excited for Alford. He isn't afraid to punish opposing ball carriers and makes Friday night's hell for whomever lines up opposite him. His ability to peel off plays and make the correct reads is evident and he rarely gets lost in coverage.

His personal best in the 100 meter dash is 11.67 seconds, which is not elite. But considering he is a 215 pound linebacker, on film he flies downhill far faster than a 11.67 would indicate.

Alford is down to his final six schools, with Florida still in the mix. He will make his decision on March 30.

Alford made a stop in Gainesville over the weekend during Junior Day. On3 has Ohio State as the favorite for Alford, though 247's Blake Alderman made a crystal ball project for the Gators last year.
