Florida Football Recruiting: Gregory Smith

Of out Sumner High in Riverview, just outside of Tampa, Gregory Smith has been shooting up the rankings boards of the recruiting services this past season.

The 247 Composite has Smith outside of the top 500 overall prospects, but On3 does have him as a four-star and Rivals ranks him as a top 30 overall safety.

Part of why Smith is coming onto the scene late is because he is a do it all athlete that has never focused on just one position. Smith earned All-State honors in the triple jump last season in track and field and was a finalist at the state meet in the long jump as well.

His personal best in the triple jump of 47' 11.25" could legitimately score points score points in track at a large number of D1 conference meets.

Smith has been crystal balled to commit with the Gators.
