Florida Football has been targeting a ton of wide receivers lately and their visitor's list continues to grow.

In March, the Gators will welcome a four-star playmaker from Naples on campus.

Florida Football Recruiting: Winston Cup

Winston Watkins is a four-star receiver out of First Baptist Academy in Naples. His star ratings are all over the place, with Rivals grading him as the 14th best prospect in the country, 247 and ESPN putting him in the mid-four star range, and On3 grading him as a three-star.

Based on film, we here at Hail Florida Hail lean most towards the 247 Sports grade that ranks him 217th overall.

Watkins is able to scurry free and create plays from space. Listed at 5'10" and 175 pounds, he started the 2023 season at IMG before transferring over to First Baptist. His route running stands out the most and he is able to throw in just enough subtleness to his routes to throw off DBs.

His burst is fine but doesn't pop off as elite on film, which is why we would go with 247's assessment the most.

Watkins has an array of visits lined up in the Spring, with a stop in Gainesville being the first of eight visits he will take during March and April.

As we have said, with all the receivers Florida is looking at, there is going to be a cat-and-mouse game to see which ones have genuine interest and which ones Billy Napier and crew genuinely want to target.

Given his early stop in Gainesville, there should be early indication about whether or not Florida fans should continue to keep their on Watkins.
