Much of the chatter for Florida Football recruiting when it comes to finding a new QB has been around their 2026 prospects. It makes sense if one is to assume that DJ Lagway is the future that Florida wouldn't press as hard for a 2025 QB.

But after a visit from a four-star QB yesterday, the Gators seem to be in the running to beef up their QB depth.

Florida Football: King Of The Hill

Antwann Hill is a QB out of Warner Robins, GA listed at 6'5" and 215 pounds. He is considered a four-star by all four services, ESPN ranking him 41st overall and On3 grading him 277th overall.

Based on film, we would probably lean closest to the 247 and Rivals grade, which have him just a tick behind the ESPN grade.

Hill's ability to stand tall in the pocket is evident and his ability to generate power with just his upper body is outstanding. Even in cases where he doesn't step into a throw he can still chuck it 40+ yards on the money without even trying.

The bulk of his throws on film are vertical routes, but he shows a willingness to check down as needed. He isn't a lethal runner, but he is a willing one who can move the chains.

Andrew Ivins of 247 Sports notes in his eval that Hill is "Likely going to need some time before he’s ready to go on Saturdays," which is why it could work out well if he is willing to sit behind Lagway.

Hill was on campus yesterday and by all reports gave glowing reviews. On3 currently has Florida as the favorite to land Hill, with Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama all in the mix.

Lagway may be the future and the imputus for a 2025 QB may not be the most pressing, but it never hurts to go after as many talented QBs as one can and Hill will continue to be one to keep an eye on.
