The world of recruiting is set to consume Florida Football in the month of May as the Gators try to lockdown a myriad of visits for this June.

One player slated to come to Gainesville next month isn't high on a ton of radars but has enough flash on film to be an intriguing prospect.

Florida Football: Pick Your Major

Major Preston is a defensive back out of IMG by way of Hopewell, VA. He is a class of 2025 prospect listed anywhere from 5'11" to 6'2" depending on the site and is somewhere around 180 pounds.

Preston is ranked as a four-star by Rivals, a three-star by 247, and is unranked by On3 and ESPN.

Dare we say there is enough flash on film that if you told us ahead of time he was a four-star we wouldn't have blinked as once his clips start rolling he showcases a DB with great speed to hang with anyone.

But what stands out the most for Preston is his ability and willingness to comedown hill and make a tackle. Preston flies to the ball and doesn't shy away from contact to shed a blocker to make the play. He's not necessarily a thumper, but he takes pride in keeping guys on the edge with the ball from going any further.

Preston is slated to visit Gainesville in early June, with visits to Ole Miss and Virginia Tech also in the mix. Preston feels like a guy who is emerging on radars, so Florida jumping in the mix is positive if he winds up being a guy they want to take.
