When reviewing a prospect that Florida Football is in pursuit of, we here at Hail Florida Hail oftentimes like to look at the film first, then cycle back to what the star ratings show from the major services.

So it caught us somewhat by surprise when reviewing the film of Mikkel Skinner that he is currently considered an unrated prospect by all four services.

Florida Football: What the film says

Skinner is listed at 6'3" and 200 pounds out of Greer, SC in the outskirts of Greenville. His offer list is still low, with Cincinnati and West Virginia being his two most notable offers.

What stands out on film is his size and he is not afraid to use it. Whether lined up as a wide receiver or as a running back, Skinner has a long and powerful stride that makes him a nightmare to try and bring down. He also has several clips as a blocking wide receiver where he isn't afraid to blow up a defensive back lined up across from him.

But it's not all just power for Skinner, he has some high level catches that require a level of coordination most high school athletes don't posses.

He feels like the type of player that recruiting services typically value given his size, so it's possible with a strong camp circuit he would pop up on some radars.

Skinner was in town over the weekend as part of Florida's Junior Day and we will see if he is someone that Florida opts to keep on their radar.
