The 2025 recruiting class for Florida Football has been somewhat slow building but with the potential of getting a slew of commits at any moment.

The Gators picked up their fourth commitment of the 2025 class with a defensive lineman who should continue to rise up the rankings.

Florida Football: Cloud Nine

We profiled Jeramiah McCloud a couple of weeks ago when he decommitted from Mississippi State and was considered a favorite to flip to the Gators. His star ratings are all over the place and as a result his 247 Composite ratings has him ranked 501st.

When we looked at McCloud's film we said:

"Deciding which service is right in this case is tough because there isn't a singular play that jumps out as saying "Yep, that's the play that made him a four-star," and yet his six minute junior film paints a picture of a player who lives in the backfield of opposing offensives.

McCloud checks a ton of boxes we like to see from defensive linemen. His motor is high, he is not afraid to impose his will once he gets to the ball, even when faced with double teams he is able to fight through them, and he demonstrates an ability to hold the edge as needed.

Size wise too he falls in line with all the top linemen from the class of 2025."

Florida completed the flip and he announced today on social media his intention to be a Gator. Other teams are still in pursuit of McCloud and he received an offer from FSU yesterday and offers from USC, Auburn, and Georgia in the last month.

Florida's 2025 class now has four commitments, with Jalen Wiggins, Waltez Clark, and Josiah Abdullah also having verbal commitments for the Gators. The Gators are currently ranked 48th in the 247 recruiting rankings.
