Earlier this week, we highlighted a stat for the offensive line of Florida football that wasn't great. The Gators had the second most run plays in the country that had someone blow a blocking assignment.

So it is with that in mind that the Gators are still working to beef up their offensive line and extended an offer earlier this week to a lineman out of Washington D.C.

Florida Football: Power Up Front

Jayvon McFadden is an offensive lineman listed at 6'3" and 270 pounds. He plays offensive tackle for Riverdale Baptist but it projected as an interior lineman at the college level.

He is considered a three-star prospect by three of the four services, with Rivals giving him the four-star bump. Size seems to be thing that is preventing him from bumping up the rankings because his film is dominant.

McFadden explodes off the line of scrimmage, whether it's into his stance for pass protection or barging ahead to pancake a guy in run protection. He will genuinely lock up with a guy and then proceed to take him for a ride 30 yards down the field with the whistle being the only reprieve for the opposition.

Despite his three-star status, McFadden has offers from all the major players including Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Ole Miss.

He picked up an offer from Florida last week and all indications are that his recruitment is still wide open.
