Lost in the shuffle for what has been a crazy week for Florida Football, recruiting season is still in full swing as the Gators prepare for official visits all next month.

But one player from the Sunshine State the Gators were in talks with isn't going to be making his way to Gainesville.

Florida Football: On To The Next One

Jayvan Boggs is a wide receiver from Cocoa who decommitted from Ohio State back in March. Florida jumped back into his recruitment and seemed like they were in a decent spot for his services.

When we profiled Boggs back in April we said:

"He is a top 100 prospect with Rivals, a mid-level four star with On3 and ESPN, while 247 has him as a three star.

He was named Mr. Football in Florida in 2023 and put up an eye popping 1,504 yards and 24 touchdowns last season.

On film, he is probably somewhere between the Rivals and ESPN grade. He doesn't jump out on tape with electric athleticism, yet he just keeps making plays against notable powers like St. Thomas Aquinas and Venice.

He possesses a deceptive level of shiftiness and relies more on getting defenders in a bad position to get by them than on pure speed. He has a number of double moves in his bag and showcases a greater variety of routes than a number of prospects we have profiled here on the site."

Boggs dropped his final four schools with the intention of committing on July 4 and Florida is not on the list. Georgia, UCF, Missouri, and USC and the four schools Boggs will take an official visit to.
