Florida Football is continuing their search for 2026 prospects as the offers have been frequent over the past couple of weeks.

The latest offer is to a four-star defensive tackle out of the Bayou State.

Florida Football: Mr. Anderson

Richard Anderson is a defensive tackle listed at 6'3" and somewhere between 280 and 325 pounds (depending on the site). Out of New Orleans, Anderson is a four star with On3 and Rivals while ESPN and 247 have yet to make an evaluation.

The film for Anderson is tricky to evaluate because his sophomore film is in a mixtape style vs traditional Hudl, but there are enough flashes where one could see why he is high on a lot of 2026 radars. For a player of his size, Anderson still has the capability to fly into the backfield while also eating up run gaps as needed.

And given his size as a sophomore, there is plenty of reason to believe he will have SEC ready size when he arrives on a college campus in 2026.

Florida offered Anderson yesterday but join a quickly growing list of schools vying for his services. FSU, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and USC are among the schools who have extended Anderson an offer.

One would assume given their proximity that LSU is going to be the team to beat, but it is early in the process and there will be plenty of twists and turns before Anderson officially puts his pen to paper.
