Official visits are slated to begin this weekend and one big name on the board coming to Gainesville is a defensive lineman out of Port Charlotte.

Based on expert predictions though, Florida has work to do if they want him to stay in Gainesville.

Florida Football: In The Trenches

Myron Charles is a defensive lineman listed at 6'4" and 295 pounds. All four services view him as a four-star, with On3 grading him as the 58th overall prospect in the country, down to 247 grading him at 210th.

Based on film, we probably would put him somewhere in the middle of those rankings. He is a menace who played mostly in the interior of the defensive line is capable of beating double teams without much difficulty. He is able to get by mostly on athletic traits vs refined technique, and given that he played in 3S division within the FHSAA, he was better able to lean on his physical capabilities.

Charles is slated to make an official visit this weekend in Gainesville, but based on insiders, the Gators have plenty of work to do if they want to land him. He is also going to make visits to Miami and FSU, the latter of which is considered the favorite.

Zach Blostein of Noles247 logged a crystal ball prediction back in March that Charles would be a Seminole, and the On3 model has trended heavily towards the Seminoles after Steve Wiltfong logged a prediction as well.

Even though the Gators are in his top six, there is still work to be done if they want to be in his top one.
