After signing two top rated linebackers in the class of 2024, Florida Football is hoping to reclaim a pipeline of talent to patrol the middle the field.

And Florida is in the running for one of the higher rated linebackers in the class of 2025, but the odds of landing him feel low.

Florida Football: Over Florida

We profiled linebacker Tavion Wallace back in March. We said at the time of the consensus four-star linebacker that:

"On film, Wallace has a good feel for the game. He often lines up as an outside linebacker but does more than just plow straight ahead at the quarterback. He is willing to wait out a play, and when presented in the open field with the ball carrier, he does well to wrap up instead of always going for the big hit."

Both 247 and On3 consider Wallace to be a heavy FSU lean. Florida was included in the final five schools that Wallace dropped today, along with LSU, Georgia, Arkansas, and FSU. Initially Wallace didn't have an official visit lined up with Florida, but based on his 247 profile he will now be in Gainesville on June 14.

Wallace is going to be one where, until further momentum develops towards Gainesville, it is going to be hard to get excited for him as a serious candidate to become a future Gator.

But also in the world of recruiting, never say never.
