In the world of recruiting, nothing is over until it is over. On paper one may look one of the targets for Florida Football committing out west and go "Well that's that," and move on to the next one.

But just one week after announcing a verbal commitment to Southern Cal, the Gators welcomed a four-star prospect who we imagine they are going to continue to pursue all the way until December.

Florida Football: Fight On

Isaiah Gibson is a four-star EDGE out of Warner Robins, GA listed at 6'4" and 240 pounds. All four services have him as a four-star, but On3 and 247 have him ranked in the top 25 overall with ESPN has him at 135th and Rivals has him at 244th.

Normally we here at Hail Florida Hail will take this next paragraph to tell you which rating we agree with the most, but admittedly this one is a hard call.

There are definitely flashes in the back end of his film which could justify the top 25 billing. His speed around the edge, given his size, is top tier at times and once could foresee him terrorizing the SEC for a long time.

That explosiveness isn't quite the same in the front end of his film, and at 2:35 in total length, his film is a bit short to make a full evaluation and say with 100% confidence that the top 25 ranking is the correct call. Keep in mind that we don't go to camps; we are strictly making a call based on publically available film.

But we will say that his power is evident in every clip and when he puts it all together he has moments where he feels like the best player in the country.

Despite committing to Southern Cal last week, Gibson made a stop in Gainesville yesterday and plans to be back in June for an official visit.

With high school teammate Peyton Joseph already a Gator commit, anything is possible as his recruitment moves forward.
