In the land of recruiting for Florida Football, sometimes they get included in the final set of schools for a prospect even though the odds of actually coming to Gainesville are low.

That appears to be the case with Darrell "Duke" Johnson, which is a shame because the athlete out of Georgia is a one man cheat code.

Florida Football: All Over The Place

Johnson is listed at 6'3" and 205 pounds out of Eastman, GA. He is a consensus top 100 prospect with ESPN being the only outlet that ranks him outside the top 50.

His film more than justifies the top 50 ranking as Johnson is utilized all over the field. At his best, he lines up along the edge and crashes down to the ball carrier with force. Johnson is another player who doesn't tackle guys gently, and opposing linemen seem to have zero solutions for blocking him.

But given his athlete status, he also lines up outside in pass coverage and holds up fine. Given his size, he has great ball awareness and never feels lost in coverage.

For good measure, Johnson will also be used as a running back and break 70-yard touchdowns just because he can.

Florida made the final six schools for Johnson, but the odds of him landing in Gainesville appear low. On3 and 247 all have multiple predictions that he is going to land with Alabama. So, while Johnson does make his announcement tomorrow, don't wait around holding one's breath and hoping for a Gator hat.
