As recruiting for Florida Football is about to enter one of its most important time frames of the year in June when official visits for the class of 2025 get underway, the Gators are still working hard to identify class of 2026 prospects.

Florida offered one of the up and coming outside linebackers from the class from the state of Georgia.

Florida Football: Get Out Of The Way

CJ Sibley is listed as an outside linebacker from Buford, GA. Listed at 6'0" and 190 pounds, Sibley is graded as a four-star by Rivals, a three-star by On3, and is unranked by 247 and ESPN.

Keeping in mind that rankings for 2026 won't really start to calibrate for a few months, Sibley is an interesting case study. Playing for Buford High, who notably had five-star players KJ Bolden and Dylan Raiola this past season, Sibley was in a linebacking room this past season with multiple other four and three-star prospects, including top 100 prospect Jadon Perlotte.

It limited Sibley's playing time last year, but he tried to make the most of his opportunities.

His downhill burst is great, and even though he clocks in at under 200 pounds, he can shed blockers to make the play. Most of his sophomore highlights come from special teams, and while someone in his shoes may not always want to be relegated to that unit, Sibley was almost always the first down the field to make the tackle.

Sibley ran the 100 meter dash this season in 11.55 second, nothing elite but certainly respectable for someone near 200 pounds.

Florida offered Sibley yesterday and joins the list of Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, and Ole Miss among others.

It's probably fair to rate Sibley as a three-star for now, but with the increased opportunity, we could see him bursting onto the scene as a four-star down the road.
