While the class of 2024 didn't end as strong for Florida Football as fans would have hoped for, the Gators were able to secure two talented linebackers to help shore up its linebacking core.

So while getting a linebacker for 2025 isn't as critical as some other positions of need, the Gators are still on the hunt to bring in as many talented players as possible.

Florida Football: Shot Out of a Cannon

Christian Jones is a linebacker out of Omaha, NE. Listed at 6'3" and 220 pounds, Jones is a top 100 overall prospect from three out the four services, while On3 has him stuck as a three-star prospect.

We are going to take a wild guess that our friends at On3 haven't checked out the updated film on Jones, because he absolutely looks the part of a top 100 prospect.

While he does split time at wide receiver for Westside High School and is adequate at it, he explodes on film when lined up at linebacker. Jones isn't just a blitzing middle linebacker, either.

He reads the game well, and when moved out into the flat, he doesn't flinch when needing to make an open-field tackle. His recovery speed is also top-tier, and given his size, he could show up to an SEC campus today and not look out of place.

He will be visiting Florida this weekend alongside a stop at UCF. Nebraska is still considered the favorite to keep Jones home,

But if the Gators are able to pick up momentum with Jones, he is one that Billy Napier and crew will definitely want to try and land.
