Since arriving in Gainesville, Will Harris has been hard at work extending offers to defensive backs in the class of 2025.

Yesterday he extended an offer to an extremely productive safety out of the Miami area who has been creeping his way up the rankings.

Florida Football: Turnover Chain

Bryce Fitzgerald is a four-star prospect out of Miami. Listed at 6'1" and 175 pounds, Fitzgerald was a member of the Columbus High squad that won the 4M state title in Florida last month. He played basketball for Belen Jesuit last season, and won the 5A state championship with.

On film, the biggest strength for Fitzgerald is his overall read of the game. Often trusted as a single high safety, Fitzgerald isn't a guy that runs around and clobbers people for the sake of a good highlight. He simply reads the QB, shades that direction, gets two hands on the ball, and comes down with interceptions.

On the season, Fitzgerald was credited with five interceptions, though it felt like on film he had more.

Interest in Fitzgerald is still brewing. He has offers from Miami, Auburn, and Michigan, but some other notable teams like Georgia, Alabama, and FSU have yet to offer.

Fitzgerald feels like a guy where his film will be his strength, but his Hudl profile claims speed times that will play well in a camp setting. His Hudl profile lists a 100-meter dash PR of 10.90 seconds, though the TFFRS database doesn't have any official track times listed for him to verify those times.

But if can show up to camp this offseason and run a verified 4.49 seconds in the 40 yard dash, expect to see his name continue to shoot up rankings heading into the Fall of 2024.
