Florida football is putting a heavy emphasis on recruiting the state of Florida at a high level in the 2025 class, going after some of the top players at each position.

They recently offered a 4-star DB from Miami, whose recruitment will likely come down to a battle between the Big 3 in Florida.

Amari Wallace is one of the latest players to receive an offer from Billy Napier and his staff.

The Gators are already a legitimate factor in his recruitment, and figure to be in the running for his signature all the way until signing day.

Florida football: Head to head battle

With the amount of talent that the state of Florida produces year in and year out, there are a couple of players in each cycle who's recruitments come down to which of the Big 3 schools can put together the best pitch.

It seems like Wallace's recruitment is set to go down the same path. He lives in Miami's backyard, which has given the Canes an early advantage in his recruitment and a 44.2% chance to land him as of right now. The Gators are behind them in second at 13.7%, followed by Auburn at 11.8% and Louisville at 9.8%.

On3's Industry Ranking has Amari rated as the 127th-best player in the country, the 13th-best safety in 2025, and the 19th-best player coming out of Florida. He's rated as highly as No. 46 in the country and the No. 7 safety on Rivals.

Wallace has already taken one visit to The Swamp in January of this year, and will likely make a few more trips to Gainesville over the next year.

In his junior season, Amari totaled 28 tackles, three interceptions, six pass deflections, and a forced fumble.

If Florida is able to lock down an official visit down the road, they could become the team to beat when Signing Day finally arrives.
