The recruiting cycle for Florida Football is mainly focused on trying to get some needed momentum for their class of 2025, but the Gators do have a solid foundation started for their class of 2026 with QB Will Griffin anchoring the group.

Eventually Griffin will need some wide receivers to throw to and the Gators offered one potential target this week.

Florida Football: The Panhandle

Zion Legree is a class of 2026 wide receiver out of Pensacola. He is listed at 6'1" and 190 pounds and is a four-star with Rivals, a three-star with On3, and is unranked with 247 and ESPN.

Based on his 2023 film, we would probably agree at the moment with the three-star grade from On3. His Hudl claims a 4.3 40 time from a camp at Auburn and he does flash at times the ability to get in behind opposing secondaries. Some of his catches have a decent degree of difficulty and there are moments you can see the four-star potential.

For Legree to gain that extra star, he'll need to pop a bit more on film and a bit more consistency after 30 catches in 2023.

Billy Napier and crew seem to think he can there and extended Legree an offer earlier this week. He is also getting looks from Miami, Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss among others. There will still be a long way to go for Legree as there will be with any 2026 prospect and we'll see if his own 2024 season shoots him up the ranking boards.
