Florida football makes the top 12 for top-5 2025 LB Tavion Wallace
By Will Thomas
Florida football recruiting is continuously adding to their list of prospects to go after on the trail in the 2025 cycle in their efforts to bring in one of the best classes in the country.
In order to do that, Billy Napier is going to have to go into other SEC states and poach some of their best players.
One of those guys could be Tavion Wallace, a 4-star linebacker out of Jesup, Georgia, who recently included the Gators in his top-12 teams.
Florida will be going head to head with schools like Georgia, FSU, LSU, and others as they all strive for Wallace's signature.
Florida football recruiting: Doing the little things right
Tavion has been on Florida's radar for quite some time now, and this isn't the first time that we've talked about him on this site.
One thing that is noticeable every time you look at Wallace's play is how reliable he is and how he does all the little things that linebackers need to do in order to be effective.
While he has the ability to be a heat-seeking missile and hunt the QB, Tavion also has the patience to set the edge at the second level and wait for the running back to come to him
At the point of contact he's a very reliable tackler. He has 133 tackles through two seasons in Jesup and does a great job of wrapping up the ball carrier versus going for the big hit that may not work out.
On3's Industry Ranking has Tavion rated as the 44th-best player in the country, the No. 4 linebacker in 2025, and the No. 9 player coming out of Georgia.
Wallace will be making an unofficial visit to Gainesville on April 9th, which will mark his second trip to The Swamp.
