It's another big recruiting weekend for Florida Football as the Gators have another 10+ prospects on campus with hopes of convincing them to commit to play in Gainesville for the 2025 season.

One of the prospects has been an Auburn commit since February of 2023, but one the Gators have been working on to flip for over a year.

Florida Football: In The Trenches

Mailk Autry is a defensive lineman out of Opelika, AL who has been committed to the Tigers for over a year. Listed at 6'5" and 325 pounds, Autry has put on some considerable size since we last profiled him.

Last July when we reviewed his sophomore film, we said that his three-star rating was probably fair. He was a productive players, but didn't showcase the same level of explosiveness as some other 2025 linemen that we had reviewed.

Fast forward a year, and Autry is a five-star with 247, a four-star with ESPN and Rivals, and a three-star with On3. We are not willing to declare he should be a five-star just yet, but it is fair to say he is a four-star worthy player based on his junior year film.

Autry is more explosive than we saw last year and is able to burst through double teams without too much difficulty. He also has a great motor and is willing to chase down ball carriers who are a long ways away from him.

He is on campus this weekend for an official visit with the Gators. It's hard to say how much of a shot Florida has to pull off the flip as they would have to lure Autry from his home state while also contending with Southern California, LSU, and Ohio State.

Autry does project to be an SEC worthy player, so he is one worth keeping an eye on as recruiting season heats up.
