Florida football is starting to make some real moves in the transfer portal, securing official visits for some of the top defenders still available.

One of those guys earned All-Sun Belt honors this season as a safety for South Alabama and is in the portal as a fifth-year player.

Jaden Voisin, a redshirt junior originally from Crestview, Florida, is set to make an official visit to see the Gators on January 3rd.

New Gators' secondary coach Will Harris is working overtime in the portal, and all his efforts are starting to pay off.

Florida football: Tackling machine

Voisin has been crazy productive for the Jaguars over the past two seasons. In those two years, he has totaled 146 tackles, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, 11 pass deflections, and six interceptions.

Jaden, if he does end up in the orange and blue, would bring a veteran presence to a safety room that would benefit greatly from it. Young guys like Jordan Castell have proven that they can play at a high level in the SEC, but no team is great without experience.

A fifth-year player that has already done as much as Voisin would elevate the Gators' secondary as a whole, and give a big boost to Austin Armstrong's defense.

Billy Napier knows that he needs to inject a major amount of talent onto Florida's roster this offseason if they want to be competitive with their 2024 schedule. Hopefully, that sense of urgency will lead to Napier not letting Jaden leave his visit without a commitment.
