Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman was seldom used during his time with the Gators. Coming out of high school, he was a lower-level three-star prospect out of Minneapolis. He eventually found his way to Independence Community College, the same Independence that was once featured on the Netflix show Last Chance U.

Chiaokhiao-Bowman emerged as a top ten JUCO receiver according to 247, and committed to Florida ahead of the 2022 season.

He would go on to make three catches against Vanderbilt and two against Oregon State as part of his seven catch 2022 campaign that saw him mostly on special teams.

Chiaokhiao-Bowman was injured for the bulk of the 2023 season, played in only two games, and had zero catches. He announced in December that he would be leaving the Gators and entered the transfer portal.

But it wasn't until past weekend that he had a place to call home for 2024. Chiaokhiao-Bowman had been in talks with Ole Miss and took an official visit to meet Lane Kiffin and crew, but ultimately Chiaokhiao-Bowman will be taking his talents to Houston to play for the Rice Owls.
