Last offseason, Florida Football saw an exodus of a ton of players who as Billy Napier overhauled the entire roster for the Gators.

But as has been the case this spring, a number of players for transferred away from Gainesville are transferring once again.

Florida Football: On The Road Again

Chief Borders came to Florida as an upside prospect in the class of 2021. Listed at 6'4" and 240 pounds, Border wasn't able to crack the lineup in Gainesville and only played 19 snaps over two season with the Gators.

He transferred last offseason to Nebraska and took 147 snaps for the Cornhuskers in 2023, including 37 against Michigan. But after their game against Illinois in week six, Borders didn't take more than ten snaps in a game the rest of the season.

Borders finished the 2023 season with a PFF grade of 53.9.

Borders was praised during spring camp by Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and was classified as the "most improved player of the spring," so within Cornhusker circles it was seen as a bit of surprise to see Borders enter the portal.

Borders has retweeted multiple articles that confirm his departure from Lincoln.
