Lawrence Wright

One of the most decorated defensive backs the Gators have ever had, Lawrence Wright was the glue that kept the Florida defense together. In 1995, Wright had an eye-popping 109 tackles to lead the team and was a second-team All-American.

In the national title season of 1996, Wright was named the Jim Thrope Award winner and was first team All-SEC in both 1995 and in 1996.

But despite leaving Florida with 331 tackles and eight forced fumbles, Wright went undrafted in the 1997 NFL Draft.

He did catch on with the Cincinnati Bengals and stuck around from 1997 until 1999 before his football playing days ended.
