Florida Football: Five commits, besides DJ Lagway, we are most excited about

DJ Lagway is the headliner for the 2024 recruiting class, but the Gators are getting some other really talented players.

Florida Football: Kahnen Daniels

  • Four star running back out of West Point, MS

One of the flaws of the recruiting ranking system is that it tends to overvalue players based on how they perform during 7 v 7 tournaments. For a player like Kahnen Daniels, those tournaments are not a good platform to show what they can really do.

As the QB/Wildcat RB for West Point High in Mississippi, Daniels frequently faced 11 man boxes and still found holes with ease.

He led West Point to a state title after a monster game and has seen his ranking skyrocket since players put the pads back on.

With Trevor Etienne gone, Florida will have an opening to be the second running back behind Montrell Johnson and there is a solid chance Daniels could see the field in 2024.
