Florida Football: Five commits, besides DJ Lagway, we are most excited about

DJ Lagway is the headliner for the 2024 recruiting class, but the Gators are getting some other really talented players.

Florida Football: Fletcher Westphal

  • Four star offensive lineman from Leesburg, VA

One of the annoyances of Gators Nation is that despite Florida employing two offensive line coaches, their recruiting at the position has felt a step behind at grabbing some of the elite offensive tackles in the country.

But lost in all the drama of whether or not the Gators would be able to nab Jordan Seaton is the fact the Florida does still have a talented offensive tackle arriving on campus.

Fletcher Westphal is listed at 6'8" and 335 pounds. Is considered one of the top ten tackles in the country and while it is rare for true freshmen to take the field along the offensive line, Westphal has the size already that he wouldn't look out of place if the Gators wanted to try him along the line in 2024.
