Florida Football: Five commits, besides DJ Lagway, we are most excited about

DJ Lagway is the headliner for the 2024 recruiting class, but the Gators are getting some other really talented players.

It's National Early Signing Day and Florida football is finally able to lock in on its class of 2024. While Florida has had a number of players flip away from the class, there are still some talented prospects that will be making their way to Gainesville.

The headliner of this class is QB DJ Lagway, and while LJ McCray pushed back his signing date, there are five other players that we here at Hail Florida Hail are excited to see don the Orange and Blue in the near future.

Part of what makes recruiting exhausting to try and follow and causes a number of fans to tune it out is the endless threats of flipping even after a player has said they are locked in. Within this 2024 class, Florida lost out on several players who flipped away from the program after claiming they were all-in with the Gators.

So it makes Myles Graham a breath of fresh air in the sense that none of those games got played. The son of former Florida running back Earnest Graham, Myles committed to the Gators in August of 2022 and never waivered from that commitment.

He didn't take a single official visit beyond Florida and he didn't keep popping up unofficially at other schools.

Ranked 51st overall on the 247 Sports composite, Graham has all the tools to be as good, if not better than current Florida linebacker Shemar James and should see early playing time in 2024.
