Florida Football fans can now sail the high seas with some Gator greats
In an effort to engage Florida Football fans in a new way, the University of Florida announced a fan cruise experience for Gators fans. In partnership with Royal Caribbean, the Gators at Sea Fan Cruise sets sail February 14-17, 2025, aboard the Utopia of the Seas.
According to the press release from Florida, the three-night cruise departs from Port Canaveral and includes stops in Nassau, Bahamas, and Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. Florida claims fans will enjoy Gator-themed activities onboard and at each port, including meet-and-greets with former players, group dinners, beach parties, and autograph sessions.
Plans start at $900 per person and go up to $1,200 per person before any add-ons.
The initial list of participating Gator Greats includes Alex Brown, Brandon Spikes, Amanda Lorenz, Preston Tucker, and Skylar Wallace, with more athletes to be announced.

The idea of a themed cruise isn't a new concept. Royal Caribbean's website advertises cruises for Comic Con, Star Trek, and the 90s, among other themes. For Florida, this is their first formal attempt at doing one.
Cruises.com will be the official cruise partner of the Florida Gators and will operate and administer the Gators at Sea Fan Cruise. They are part of World Travel Holdings, the nation's largest cruise agency.
