NIL has been a source of angst for Florida Football fans. Between bad deals forged or claims of not having enough money, the belief is that the Gators need to step up their NIL game if they want to keep up in college football.

But a viral video yesterday from freshman D'Antre Robinson shows that when done correctly, NIL can be used for good in the college football world.

Florida Football: Buy Momma A House

Robinson originally signed with Texas but was released from his letter of intent and opted to stay home and signed with the Gators last month.

In a video that went viral yesterday, Robinson opted to take money he has received from NIL to buy a house for his mother. He surprised her on Valentines Day with the keys to the home.

Now the cynics in us could start probing how is Florida broke in NIL but also have enough to allow a player to buy a home, but that's not the takeaway one should have from this video. In a world where Carson Beck is taking his NIL money and buying a $300,000 Lamborghini and Caleb Williams is staying in a penthouse in Los Angeles, Robinson buying a modest home for his family is the feel good type of story that Florida should be broadcasting to the world.

"But Ben, why is an 18 year old being given enough money to buy a home when I work 40 hours a week and can't afford a home?"

First off, talk to your state government as to why insurance rates are out of hand. Second off, because 90,000 people aren't showing up to your job and paying $100 each to do so.

We have to imagine we will see more and more stories like this emerge as NIL continues to be the way of the land.
