#3 - Memphis beats Utah State 38-10 in the First Responders Bowl

There are a couple different ways one could look at Utah State from 2022 to 2023. The positive is that the Aggies maintained their exact same record across both season.

The not so positive is that Utah State has gone 6-7 the last two seasons.

Their loss to Memphis in 2022 was a sign that no, the Aggies were not ready to reclaim the Mountain West crown that they won in 2021.

Among others they lost to in 2023 were Iowa, Air Force, Boise State, and San Jose State.

Their 45-22 defeat to Georgia State in this year's Famous Idaho Potatoes Bowl was only the 10th biggest blowout of the bowl season, so maybe things are looking up for the Aggies.
