Florida basketball: Dominance on the glass

While the whole team has been struggling from the free throw line, there is another area where everyone has been elite, and that's rebounding the basketball.

The Gators are the best team in the country in terms of total rebounds per game at 45.4. This is a huge improvement from last season where they only snagged 34.6 per game.

Tyrese Samuel is leading the charge with 8.8 rebounds per game, followed by Micah Handlogten at 7.1 and Alex Condon at 6.8.

Being able to create second chance points for your offense, while also taking those opportunities away from the other team can swing a game in your favor.

For as frustrating as the free throw woes have been, the success on the glass has done a lot to negate those damages and keep Florida in the drivers seat of their first 13 games.

If Florida can sustain their dominance rebounding the ball into SEC play, there won't be a game that's out of reach for them for the rest of the season.
