Florida basketball is on a three game winning streak, but they have a tough task ahead of them tonight if they want to extend that to four.

The Gators are making the trip up to Lexington to take on the 10th ranked Kentucky Wildcats.

The game tips off at 8:00 pm eastern time on ESPN.

After losing a tough game at home to Kentucky earlier in the month, the Gators will be looking for revenge tonight in Rupp Arena. If Florida can pull off the upset, it would be a sign that this team has truly turned a corner.

Florida basketball: No easy task

It's safe to say that Rupp hasn't been a very friendly building for the Gators to play in. Since 2014, Florida has only won in Lexington three times.

Combine that with the Gators being an unranked team visiting a top ten squad, and this doesn't seem like a very favorable matchup for UF.

But there's no reason to believe that we won't get to see a competitive game. In the first meeting between these two teams, Florida was dominating Kentucky for most of the game before the Wildcats went on a run and eventually won by two.

Florida knows that they can keep up with Kentucky. They've already proven that they can. The question is whether or not they can sustain that level of play for 40 minutes and put them away down the stretch.

A win tonight would be Florida's best win of the season to date, and likely help them out next week when the voters put together a new Top 25.
