Todd Golden has showed his ability this past season to raid the transfer portal to build a competitive roster for Florida Basketball. Zyon Pullin, Walter Clayton, and Tyrese Samuel were all key contributors Portal God Todd grabbed out of the portal.

With the 2023-24 season over, Golden is already at work trying to identify talent for the upcoming season.

Florida Basketball: Air Jordan

Jordan Sears is a 5'11" guard out of Daytona. He played his first two seasons with Gardner-Webb before transferring to UT Martin this past season. Sears put up 21.6 points per game and 4.7 assists en route to earning first-team all-Ohio Valley Conference honors.

While listed he is shorter than any of the other guards that Florida has on its roster, he is a willing finisher at the rim and has little fear driving to the basket. He doesn't force shots for the sake of forcing shots and will give bounce passes to waiting centers when he draws defenders towards him.

But he is also an adapt three point shooter who had a 43% rate this past season.

According to Joe Tipton of On3, Florida has been in contact with Sears, along with Maryland, South Carolina, Memphis, Auburn, Texas Tech, Alabama, and a host of others.
