The Gators have made contact with Malik Dia out of Belmont. Dia is a forward listed at 6'9 and 240 pounds with two seasons of eligibility. He spent his freshman year at Vanderbilt before transferring to Belmont last seasons.

Even though he only averaged 23 minutes per game with the Bears this season, Dia still managed to average 16.9 points per game on 48% shooting. Given his size, he is an adapt finisher at the rim and has no fear using his body to fend off defenders to attack the rim.

He isn't the strongest off the dribble, but he is a capable three point shooter. He essentially doesn't leave his feet when shooting threes and did convert at a 34% clip, making 44 total.

Dia also manager almost six rebounds per game and had 26 blocks on the season.

According to Joe Tipton of On3, Dia has been contacted by UConn, Indiana, Texas, Virginia, and Florida, among others.
