Slowly but surely, Florida Basketball is trying to claw its way into the top 25.

After being left out of the poll entirely, the Gators are starting to gain momentum to being ranked once again.

Florida Basketball: Moving On Up

As we have noted last week here at Hail Florida Hail, the Gators weren't showed much love by the national media despite picking a big win over Kentucky a week and a half ago. In last week's AP Top 25 poll the Gators failed to receive a single vote.

Following a blowout win over Auburn, the winds are starting to change, and Florida picked up 19 points this week in the poll and unofficially ranked 35th in the AP Poll. UConn is still ranked first, while Auburn only dropped one spot and is ranked 13th this week.

Based on the teams ranked ahead of Florida, 35th is probably fair, though Oklahoma is ranked 25th and is just one spot ahead of Florida in the NCAA NET ratings.

Florida is in decent enough shape to make the NCAA Tournament provided that can avoid any bad losses down the stretch. They will take the court next against LSU at home.
