The transfer portal is still open for business for Florida Basketball and Todd Golden is making sure to leave no stone unturned.

It was announced yesterday that Christian Reeves from Duke has the Gators among his final foul schools to transfer to.

Florida Basketball: Never Too Much Size

Reeves is a 7'1" center weighing 245 pounds. He was a four-star prospect in the class of 2022 out of the famed Oak Hill Academy, but saw limited action in two seasons in Durham. Reeves played in a total of 16 games across two seasons, including just three during the 2023/24 season. Reeves averaged under two points per game both years and underwent ankle surgery back in February.

Florida is alongside Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, and Clemson in his final four teams.

Unlike other transfer portal prospects Golden has looked at, it is doubtful Reeves would come in and challenge for a starting position, especially considering Florida has a cache of big men already on campus. If Reeves is looking for playing time, it feels like Florida would be a longshot to be his landing ground.

Reeves has three seasons of eligibility left.
