The stay in the Top 25 for Florida Basketball was a relatively short one as the Gators fell out of the rankings heading into the final week of the regular season.

But with a big time opponent tonight Florida does have a chance to vault back into the rankings.

Florida Basketball: Yo-Yo

After losing to South Carolina on the road on Saturday, Florida picked up 39 total points in the AP Top 25, behind the 50 that Dayton picked up to be ranked 25th. Florida is also behind the 42 points Nevada picked up, so unofficially the Gators enter the week ranked 27th in the country.

This falls in line with their NCAA NET ranking of 34th. The Gators are now 20-9 on the season, with a 3-8 record against Quad 1 opponents.

Florida closes out the regular season with two rematches. The Gators will take on Alabama tonight in the home finale for Florida. The Crimson Tide are ranked 16th in the AP poll and knocked off Florida in overtime when the two teams previously met.

Florida will end its regular season with a road game against Vanderbilt on Saturday.
