Tre Wilson Has 1,000 Yards Receiving

Yesterday we highlighted our concerns with the depth of Florida's wide receivers, but that doesn't dampen our enthusiasm for Tre Wilson.

After Ricky Pearsall fell just short of being the first Gator in over 20 years to rack up 1,000 yards receiving in a single season, Wilson feels like he could step up and be the one to do it once given a featured role.

One thing we highlighted about Wilson a couple of weeks ago is that his average depth of target (how far away from the line of scrimmage he is when targeted) was the lowest in the country last year. The hope in 2024 is that Florida can conjure up ways to get him downfield more often, which in turn should creep him closer and close to a potential 1,000 yard season.
