Kerwin Bell

  • 1984 - 1987
  • 7,585 Passing Yards
  • 57.6% Completion Rate
  • 56 TD/35 INT

It is a bit cruel to list someone who is in Florida's Hall of Fame on a list of mediocrity, but the reality is that Kerwin Bell had one good season and two forgettable seasons after that.

Bell helped lead Florida to a 9-1-1 record in 1985, but NCAA sanctions limited the team's ability to do much in 1986 or 1987. The problem specially for Bell and why he makes this list of mediocre QBs is that he slipped from a ratio of 16 TDs to 7 INTs in 1984 and 21 TDs to 8 INTs in 1985 to a negative ratio his final two seasons.

His completion percentage was below 60% in both 1986 and 1987 and his yards per attempt went from 9.5 in 1985 to just 5.2 in 1986.

And at -555 rushing yards, Kerwin Bell is Florida's leader for most rushing yards lost as Gator.

Bell has since launched a coaching career and is currently the head coach at Western Carolina.
