Five Florida Football players that didn't get to "finish their story"
Much like Cody Rhodes, not everyone gets to finish their story
Octavius Gould
A player mostly forgotten about in Gator lore, Octavius Gould rushed for 564 yards his freshman season in 1986 and was the leading rusher on the team.
So given a productive freshman campaign, Gould's story could have ended with him leaving Gainesville as one of Florida's all time leading running backs.
Except in 1987, some guy named Emmitt Smith came to town and took away all the carries from Gould after Gould suffered cracked ribs in the opening game against Miami.
Gould played in just two games in 1987 before opting to leave the team and transferred to Minnesota.
