What if Will Grier doesn’t test positive positive?

There were many lies told in Gainesville on October 3, 2015, against Ole Miss. The Gators demolished the then-third-ranked Rebels 38-10, and it looked like Florida was about to return to the elite of college football.

After squeaking by East Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee to open the season, the odds of beating Ole Miss looked slim. But on that fateful night, everything went right for the gators as Florida blew the doors off Ole Miss.

Florida would go on to beat Missouri the next week before the news broke that Will Grier was suspended for the rest of the season due to testing positive for a banned substance.

With Treon Harris at the helm, the Gators were still just a one-loss team heading into the regular season finale against FSU. Even though the defense held up well against the Seminoles and Alabama in the SEC title game, the offense's inability to move the ball or the defense down resulted in the Gators going 10 and 4 on the season.

What if Grier was never suspended? Would he have been enough to get them over the hump against LSU? Could Florida have moved the ball enough against FSU and Alabama to win at least one of those games? Could Florida have gone 12-1 and potentially made the playoff that year?
